We are excited to share with you that Orange Beach, Alabama has a new condo project on the horizon. The newest addition to the gorgeous Alabama Gulf Coast is named Grace & Ascension. The development will be built on 6.63 acres on the Gulf of Mexico located on Perdido Beach Blvd. near Hwy. 161 next to Cotton Bayou State Park. Ascension is planned for 37 Stories (469 ft) and Grace is planned for 36 Stories (449 ft). These will be the 2nd and 4th tallest buildings in Alabama. (The tallest building in Orange Beach is currently Turquoise Place - spanning 377 ft) Ascension will have 200 units ranging from 2,700 to 3,700 square feet. The floor plan breakdown will include 140 four-bedroom units and 60 five-bedroom units. Parking at Ascension will consist of 615 individual spaces spread through six floors. Grace, a mere one floor shorter, will consist of 76 units. The floor plan breakdown is planned to include 18 three-bedroom units, 56 four-bedroom units and two large five-bedroom penthouses. The penthouse units at an enormous 6,500 square feet, will include an office space and full-size media room. Grace will have a little over one-third of the parking spaces with 214 on five floors.
Both Ascension and Grace will be rent-restricted and, like the differing designs, the restrictions are much different as well. Ascension will be restricted to seven-day reservations. This policy is for the owners who want more flexibility and will have the option to rent their units for seven days or more. (The longer turnover times are intended to limit the traffic as opposed to many local condos that allow multiple check-ins per week) Again, Grace will be much different with 30-day rental restrictions. This is intended to accommodate owners that actually live in, or plan to spend a lot of time in their unit each year. It's pretty clear that although these towers will share a beach, they are going to be very different from each other.
Some of the amenities planned for Grace and Ascension include several large pools, both indoor and gulf-side. The condos will feature several water slides, both indoor and gulf front ranging from 16 to 20 feet tall and over 900 feet of lazy river wrapping around the property which will also include the area's first swim up tiki bar. Additional amenities will include covered parking, a sundeck, boardwalk, reserved parking, beach chair and umbrella rentals, BBQ areas with community grills and exercise rooms for owners and guests. An expected popular design feature is balconies that won't block the view from the main living area. Grace and Ascension will also host an informal area near the lobby for owners and guests to gather and watch a game while enjoying the beautiful scenery offered by the Gulf of Mexico's emerald-green waters and white-sand beaches. The developers have designed, a kind of service road, to help with traffic flow. These are the details released thus far, but there will most likely be additional features disclosed as we approach the official release of the project. Currently, the ground has been broken and construction has started. Please feel free to check back anytime and we will be updating relevant info as it's made available.
